UBUNTU - Roundhouse Gala
Ubuntu Pathways breaks the cycle of poverty by providing South Africa’s most vulnerable children with what all children deserve - everything, every day. Approximately 350 guests arrived at Camden’s Roundhouse on Thursday 15 May to celebrate the work Ubuntu has carried out in South Africa over the past 15 years.
The venue was transformed into a luxury safari tent in the heart of the Eastern Cape through lighting, décor and music. Story & Motion were hired to capture the celebrations and festivities of the night producing media for all their social media outlets.
THERE IS NO SINGLE SOLUTION.
Textbooks without job opportunities, HIV medication without stable income, school lunches without a safe home – one-time services may bring temporary relief, but they are not enough to break the cycle of poverty. In the townships of Port Elizabeth, South Africa, children are confronted with enormous challenges, from failing schools to staggering unemployment. Poverty affects every aspect of life.
IT TAKES EVERYTHING, EVERY DAY.
Whether it’s the mother living with HIV who is worried about her pregnancy or the teenager struggling in school, each person who walks through our doors faces unique challenges. Our end goal is a healthy and stable future, and we are there every step of the way. We have developed a model that provides individualised support from cradle to career.
